Did a quick tarot spread this morning to see if I could identify any good news for us as a nation. I found plenty. We will have to deal with more alligators before we arrive at it though.
This final week of the election is still poised to reveal even more craziness from candidates and Wall Street. More ridiculous accusations from candidates, and particularly their supporters, will send the media spiraling in their own muck once again. Their amazing inability to fact check and double check sources is an outward sign of each of our own tendencies toward jumping to conclusions. Remember our outer world is a manifestation of mass consciousness. The real story is what jumping to conclusions is revealing about our culture and long held misperceptions.
The winner of the election will jump into his new role very quickly. He will be making major decisions before he is sworn in that have nothing to do with choosing his cabinet and filling his ranks, although that will certainly be happening as well. Instead, watch him head for Europe and the Middle East and begin meetings with allies and perceived enemies before he takes office.
On the economic front, gas prices are down and consumers are pleased but not convinced they will stay that way. It seems we may have turned a corner in respect to fossil fuels, at least in an everyday sort of way. The need to make personal changes has been imprinted on us long enough to have affected group thought in a small way. Our behavior toward personal transportation will not return to past gas guzzling practices.
Truly practice the idea of treating others as you would like to treated and notice your own slip-ups. It’s more important now than ever before to begin making changes within yourself. If you wake up one morning feeling happy and joyful in the midst of personal crisis, revel in it and trust it. It may disappear quickly but it will come back in time, as long as you continue to monitor your internal dialog, and in a more solid fashion.

Another week full of surprises as we head toward election day. The economy will be just fine but it will take time and more details will be revealed. The shift is offering all of us the opportunity to reassess, or should I say is forcing us to reassess. The drop in gas prices is not going to change much of anything at this point except that it will keep us moving which is a good thing.

The book THE SECRET has really gotten a lot of mixed attention. Many rave about it and others scoff and even those that actually try it and have some level of success just can’t seem to wrap their whole minds around the concept of getting what you want by changing your thinking; they think their success was a fluke or a coincidence.
In my own interpretation, the Law of Attraction simply states - you are what you believe you are. You are what you think and therefore you create and attract exactly whatever you focus on and give action to. You can change the circumstances of your life simply by changing your thinking.
Now that a span of time has elapsed since I reviewed the book, I thought it might be helpful to revisit the idea of the Law of Attraction by outlining the top 5 stumbling blocks you can face when you begin to acknowledge and use the Law. Sep 29thA Moment of Empty Space
Passed this empty retail space on my Sunday morning walk. It reminded me of the idea of creating space in our thinking to stop the incessant chatter in our heads and create possibility.
I noticed the previous tenant had lightly stained over the black and white checked floor, missing the areas where the counter and cabinet once stood. Part of suspending the chatter and creating space is the suspension of polarity–the black and white checked floor is a symbol of polarity. That little sliver of space relaxes and enlivens thought because there is no judgement in empty space.
An attempt to raise the energy to a higher level? Or an attempt to control what the customer was seeing?
